Once you identify a company that appeals to you it is important to have a strategy in place to purchase their shares. You can start with exposing 1% - 2% of your portfolio to your selection. This is why being able to buy fractional shares in modern times is revolutionary. It is much easier to calculate what % exposure you are opening up to. You can purchase stock with high price tags for as little as $5!

Time will be the biggest factor in determining your success. If your selections perform you can responsibly increase your exposure to your growth selection. In general, 5% is about the most you should expose your portfolio to. When purchasing Netflx shares back in 2012 I exposed 20% of my portfolio which was a big risk for me.

Take note that in the event that your growth company selection increases in value your exposure too will grow relative to your portfolio.

One of my investment strategies is to analyze a stock's market capitalization and divide it by their annual gross profits. Here you can take this ratio and compare all of your choices. Here you can better asses how you will balance your exposure to your stock selections.

I have seen 70x return on my original Netflix purchases from 2011. In 2012 the "market cap" of Netflix was only $3.2 billion. What is funny is that their annual revenues were the same as their market cap! Netflix was not a proven company back then, but I loved the service so I went all in and invested 25% of my investable assets into their shares!
