PayPal has started building the infrastructure necessary to allow merchants to accept Cryptocurrency in 2021.

PayPal recently made a big investment into the blockchain and crypto side of their business with the acquisition of Curv.

Curv offers a service that provides cloud-based crypto wallets for business including banks, custodians, hedge funds, exchanges, and FinTech companies.

Curv allows businesses to securely store and manage digital assets without the need for in-house blockchain engineers.

This move helps PayPal in their battle for fintech supremacy with rival Square.

Both PayPal and Square have made substantial moves to allow their customers to access and use Bitcoin in the past.

Curv, works with multiple different blockchains and will enable PayPal to accept over 200 different tokens. This will give them a huge advantage.
