I recently started learning about bitcoin at the request of a few of my subscribers and the more I see the more it interests me. I am going to make bitcoin a small part of my portfolio for the following reasons:
1. It is the strongest currency on earth
2. It is a hedge with huge upside potential
3. Bitcoin is gathering huge institutional support

In my opinion this makes it worth it from a risk/reward standpoint to own some bitcoin instead of holding a ton of cash. I was debating to invest in bitcoin or gold and bitcoin seems to me to be the more attractive investment for beginners.
