The US presidential elections are next week and it brings uncertainity to the stock markets.
In this video I give my take on how I think the elections could affect the stock markets & how I invested in the Stock markets.
Stock markets seem to perform better under a Democrat President vs a Republican President. So I went looking back to the year 1857 to see for myself ????
Topics discussed:
✅ What has happened this year? Is the stock market overvalued. Let's look at some metrics (Schiller PE Ratio, The Buffet Indicator, GDP).
✅ Stock market performance under a Democrat vs Republican president? The effects of the presidential elections.
✅ Uncertainty and fear might be a driver behind the stock markets during a presidential election. That's why we can look at Volatility and the VIX index
✅ As a Finn what am I interested in and invested in? Insurance for a potential market crash? Can I protect myself from a possible downside in the markets?
