What do NFTs mean for the blockchain industry? How to cope with Bitcoin & cryptocurrency volatility? Hers are my thoughts shared with Charles Payne on Fox Business News Today ★ Register Your Seat (Free Training Today): http://learn.investdiva.com/yes
*Thoughts NFT crypto sweeping the world by storm even now in the traditional art world?
- This is an interesting area in crypto showcasing the power blockchain technology has. And the fact that people like Mark Cuban are getting behind NFTs shows that the industry has reached a much higher
public acceptance phase.
Personally, and this is purely personal, I don't get investing in art. Whether it's in traditional form, or in crypto, I'm just not that artistic, being trained as an electrical engineer, so even if you were to hand the original Mona Lisa to me, I wouldn't really comprehend the value of it. But that doesn't mean NFTs (Non-fungible token) won't become even more valuable in the future. Clearly, there is and has been a market for art investing, and the industry has now expanded to include digital collectibles which is pretty cool.
* Bitcoin under some pressures are these wild gyrations just part of growing pangs?
- Bitcoin drop (as well as the rest of the market) came at a predictable time. When you look at a "value asset", and yes, I do consider Bitcoin a value asset, there are always going to be ups and downs. When you choose your asset with much certainty and invest in it long-term, you wouldn't worry about the market's ups and downs. In fact, my students and I have been celebrating the past few days because we knew a correction is due and had set buy limit orders to buy our favorite assets at a lower price, so we've been getting an adrenaline rush the past couple of days as our buy limit orders go through!
The theme for my show today is the growth and learning lessons for new investors. You’ve had your own journey to success, but it began rocky – what can you share with the millions of people that are new to this?
- I've been fortunate to be able to grow my family's portfolio to $1.5 million in the past few years, but it certainly didn't start that way. When I first got interested in investing back in 2008, I didn't even want to become a millionaire. I simply wanted to invest my money so it doesn't lose its value due to inflation as the governments were printing money.
To new investors who understand the importance of making your money work for you but don't know how to get started, I would say:
First, understand your risk tolerance and declare to yourself the reason and the time frame you're looking to invest. NOT taking this step is the EXACT reason why 96% of traders lose money. You can grab my risk management toolkit by attending the free training in my bio.
Second, start with what you know. Select value assets that are either category kings, or are helping us do things better, faster, and cheaper and do something good for humankind.
Third, don't panic when the markets drop. This is your opportunity to buy your favorite assets at a lower price!
