Bitcoin, the most popular cryptocurrency known for its wild swings and extreme volatility, has rallied like other asset classes. Bitcoin with its built-in mechanism to avoid inflationary pressures is turning out to be a darling for investors worldwide. Yesterday, after a long wait of three years, the millennial cryptocurrency reached within its all-time high levels of $19,783, however, today, it was down by 11 %. Since January, Bitcoin has gained 160% on back of strong institutional demand. There are some who believe it might touch a jaw-dropping $100,000 or Rs 70,00,000 lakh within a year. While, those are very high levels, for now the mania is truly on.
