Much has been made over the past few years about cryptocurrencies and their potential impact on the environment. In this series of videos we'll be looking at the environmental impact of cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, ether and tezos. We'll also take a look at the technology underlying the cryptocurrency revolution - Blockchain. Lastly, we'll look at the sustainability of novel adaptations of blockchain technology such as NFTs

First stop bitcoin. Bitcoin is by far the largest crypto currency with a market cap over one trillion dollars. Many people misunderstand bitcoin and what its use cases are. In this video we look at the two main use cases for bitcoin. As a regular currency used for day to day spending and as a store of value, similar to gold. We'll compare environmental impacts and hopefully we will be able to answer once and for all, is bitcoin bad for the environment?
