Volatility in a growing market such as the current crypto market is a normal thing. However, due to past experiences, many people are concerned about the possibility of a cryptocurrency crash occurring in 2021. Normally, a dramatic surge in crypto prices such as what we’re experiencing now is always followed by a dive. There is a pair of catalysts, which according to experts, might trigger a cryptocurrency crash in 2021.

The first one is the parabolic gains in Bitcoin and across other asset classes. The second one is the possibility of a crash occurring in other asset classes that might trigger investors to de-risk through converting Bitcoin to U.S. dollars. Moreover, the regulatory environment is also likely to implement potentially bullish catalysts and subject cryptos under scrutiny discouraging investors. Also, there is a chance that Bitcoin and other altcoins have run too far and might start slowing down very soon.

However, despite the possibility of a crypto crash in 2021, some cryptos are worth owning even now. Take the example of an investor who listened to that prediction and sold their Bitcoins still missed out on profits of at least over 200% that followed later.

Crypto investors should at least keep in mind that we have been here before. Short-term optimism bursts such as the ones we are experiencing now are almost always accompanied by a reversal.
