How to Buy Coffee with BITCOIN NFTs CRYPTO Update Cryptocurrency ETHEREUM Crypto Update Bitcoin Price


Starbucks is teaming up with a new crypto app that will allow customers to pay for their favorite coffee in cryptocurrency via an app that converts Bitcoin into U.S. dollars.

The Bakkt App lets users convert Bitcoin, rewards points, frequent flyer miles, and gift cards into U.S. dollars, to then reload onto Starbucks Cards saved in the Starbucks app.

Karl Hebert, Starbucks VP of the global card, commerce, and payment, explained: “Our teams worked closely together as Bakkt sought input in developing a unique and trusted payment experience that enables customers to unlock the value of their digital assets in the form of US dollars.”

He continued: “We are excited that customers now have the opportunity to use Bakkt to load their Starbucks Card in the Starbucks app and then use it to pay at Starbucks."

This is great news for all of my coffee aficionados out there, and I doubt that this will be the last instance of a big company teaming up with tech companies to offer services in exchange for cryptocurrencies.

Meanwhile, the price of bitcoin has been hovering around $60,000 as major money players are in talks to get into the crypto game.

Wall Street firms Goldman Sachs and BlackRock are starting to trade bitcoin futures, and some financial analysts are predicting a $70,000 bitcoin forecast, based on a “bull flag” pattern seen in price charts.

Matt Blom, head of sales and trading with the digital-asset firm Equos, explained: “The great portfolio rebalancing is already underway.”

With bitcoin and other popular cryptocurrencies gaining support from some of the biggest names in the financial world, the sky's the limit for the price of these digital assets.

Finally, the price of Ether has skyrocketed in recent days, reaching a new all-time high of $2,074 this week.

This 5% jump caps a stunning week for the popular alt-coin, where it saw an increase in price for 5 straight days.

Shark Tank and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban also expressed his thoughts on Ether, stating: “I own a lot of Ethereum because I think it’s the closest to a true currency.”

He explained that his current crypto portfolio includes: “60% bitcoin, 30% Ethereum and 10% the rest.”

Timothy Peterson, an analyst at Cane Island Alternative Advisors said: "Ether has outperformed bitcoin in every May till date."
