Was there any other business model? I cannot remember.
In 1993, on April 30, the European CERN Institute put the code for the world wide web in the public domain and issued a worldwide royalty-free license for everybody.
This was the beginning of the substantial growth of the internet, which attracted entrepreneurs like Jeff Bezos. A few years later, Bitcoin created blockchain technology in 2008 with even higher growth rates than the internet.
But what is the next Big Thing? Cathie Wood from Ark Funds believes that Gene Editing and the Genomic Revolution might be great candidates.
