Four Reasons Why Bitcoin Miners Will Not Easily Capitulate this 2020 Season!

A popular narrative has emerged in recent weeks, concerning the BTC halving, and how the block reward getting cut in half, may trigger the capitulation of miners, resulting in the so-called mining death spiral, a topic we've covered a lot this year leading up to the halving.

This article coming from Cointelegraph this morning, suggests that any calls for a miner capitulation within the industry, are overblown and one should curb any expectation of a widespread miner shutdown in 2020, or the price being brought down as a result.

Some of the reasons cited for making 2020 a very period of time for the halving to take place during, is the record low energy costs and an incoming power glut in China's mining capital, foreign fiat declining and bringing operational costs down with it, and finally, difficulty adjustments to the hashing algorithm means that network conditions can adjust in response to an exodus of miners.
