The first and most important thing about investing in crypto.. is actually safe keeping of your crypto. If anything happens to it, you'll lose your money permanently. ALWAYS double check your private keys, seed phrases, passwords and backup your data. Keep large amounts of crypto in cold storage wallets to prevent hackers from stealing your hard earned money!

I used Ledger's cold storage wallet back in 2017, now both Ledger and Trezor came out with better models. You can always use paper wallets, just make sure no one throws them out. If you have a lot of money, put the cold storage wallets in reputable banks' safety deposit boxes for extra protection, or in a good safe.
