Do you own Bitcoin and keep it on an exchange? If so you should learn how to create and control your own wallet to keep your coins safe from hackers and attacks that happen on many exchanges. I'll show you with one simple download how you get going with Bitcoin almost instantly with your own wallet! Make sure to watch the whole video and confirm that you can access your wallet after powering down or rebooting as you can lose your coins if you don't understand how it works.


Cryptocurrency OS is free alternative to hardware wallets, yet you can still optionally use your trusty hardware wallet on many of the wallets included in my OS (eg. Bitcoin Electrum that I will be showing you how to use today).


I will show you how to create, use and securely store your Bitcoins in your own personal wallet using my very own Free/Opensource https://cryptocurrencyos.org courtesy of the Electrum Wallet using the Cryptocurrency OS Live CD. Remember it can also be installed but for the highest security if you want to use a paper like wallet using the mnemonic seed, you can restore your wallet any time you boot CryptoCurrency OS.


In a future video I will show you how to directly backup your Electrum Wallet files and also how to get the raw private key(s) for your Bitcoin address as you can never have too many ways to restore your wallet in the case of theft or disaster.
