Bitcoin’s market cap—the sum of its price multiplied by the total number of #Bitcoin in circulation—hit $544 billion, flipping the market cap of Class B shares in #BerkshireHathaway, which has a market cap of $538.8 billion, according to metrics site Asset Dash. #BTC has comfortably flipped both Visa and Mastercard to become the 11th largest asset by market capitalization, according to Asset Dash.

#Grayscale Investment ended 2020 with $20 billion Asset Under Manager. The asset manager, increased its holdings by ten times in 2020. $17.4 billion of Grayscale’s funds are in the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust. Bitcoin’s uptrend price also boosted Grayscale hitting $20 billion before 2021.

#SatoshiNakamoto has surpassed the likes of Sheldon Adelson, He Xiangjian, and Len Blavatnik, to become the 33rd richest person in the world on the 12th birthday of Bitcoin, his world-changing creation. In July 2020, Whale Alert estimated that he had managed to mine 1,125,150 BTC before leaving the community for good more than a decade ago.

The price of #Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, today hit $1,120 the culmination of a weekend bender that’s added a few hundred dollars to its price. Ethereum’s success today, and the success of most of the other major alt coins, is the result of Bitcoin’s bull run.

Tyler Winklevoss, the co-founder, and CEO of the crypto exchange Gemini and one of the earliest BTC adopters believes that Ethereum’s price is a “steal” now. He noted that the second-largest cryptocurrency is still about 50% away from its all-time high.
