বিটকয়েনের মূল্য গেলো তিন বছরের মধ্যে সর্বোচ্চ অবস্থানে পৌছেছে। মঙ্গলবার কয়েন্সডেস্কের তথ্য অনুসারে বিবিসি জানিয়েছে, বিটকয়েনের মূল্য উঠেছে ১৯ হাজার ৯২০ ডলারে।
বিটকয়েন হলো ক্রিপটোকারেন্সি বা ডিজিটাল সম্পদ। এই বিনিময় মাধ্যম হিসেবে ডিজাইন করা হয়েছে। অতিরিক্ত ইউনিট তৈরি এবং সম্পত্তির স্থানান্তর যাচাই করতে ক্রিপ্টোগ্রাফি ব্যবহার করে এবং লেনদেন সুরক্ষিত করে। বছরের শুরু থেকে এই বিটকয়েনের মূল্য প্রায় ১৭০ শতাংশ বেড়েছে। তবে বিশ্লেষকরা বলছেন, করোনা মহামারীর কারণে অনেকেই এই ক্ষেত্রে বিনিয়োগ করতে চাইবেন। এই বিটিকয়েন অনেক ক্ষেত্রেই সোনা ও মূল্যবান ধাতব দ্রব্য ছাড়াও অপরিশোধিত তেল এর পরিপূরক হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। একইসঙ্গে মহামারীর কারণে কেন্দ্রিয় ব্যাংক মুদ্রাস্ফিতি বাড়িয়ে তোলার ঝুঁকিতে রয়েছে। তাই বিটকয়েনের উচ্চমূলেওর যেকোন সময় আকস্মিক দরপতন ঘটতে পারে তবে বলে বর্তমানের অস্থিতিশীল অবস্থায় বিনিয়োগে আরো সতর্ক থাকতে বলেছেন সংশ্লিষ্টরা।
